How does it work?
I’ve been photographing babies since 2002, and found that they are best photographed in their own, familiar environment, so I come to your home where we can either use my studio set-up or your surroundings as a backdrop.
I bring with me a fresh supply of terry nappies for those nappy shots, and you supply favourite toys, a change of clothes, hats…anything goes. Allow around 2 hours for the shoot. We can take time out for feeding and changing – anything to keep them happy! Parents and siblings (and pets) are welcome too.
Within 2 weeks, I will contact you to let you know that your pictures are ready for viewing via your own password-protected online gallery (if you don’t have access to the internet, or would like to go through your pictures with me, I can arrange another appointment with you for a viewing). |
What’s the best age for my baby to be photographed?
All babies are different, but I’ve found the best time for newborns tends to be up to 4 weeks old (the earlier the better). By 4 months, they’ll probably be holding their head up, interacting more, and we can get some very different shots. The next stage will be when they’re able to sit up – and then again just when they’re learning to stand. These are great ‘growth stages’ to record in your baby’s early life.
What should we wear?
For group photographs, similar tones of colour will work well. Bare feet are definitely best for babies.
How much?
The session fee of £275 (payable on the day of the shoot) includes your four favourite prints. Additional prints cost from £25, and there are framed enlargements, montages, photobooks and gift cards to choose from. I can show you some examples of these on the day of the shoot.
Gift vouchers are available for the full cost of a shoot, and are supplied with a gift card.
