St John’s Chapel in Cambridge
was the glorious backdrop for their wedding day. They ordered plenty of sunshine, and it delivered all day long. I met with the girls getting ready at the Regent hotel in Cambridge before heading back through the busy streets to St John’s College, where the ceremony was happening in the chapel. Being inside the chapel feels like being inside a cavernous jewel, especially when the day is sunlit. The windows are so tall and colourful. Guests seated, we waited for Jen to arrive to take that long stroll down the lengthy aisle to take her vows with Sam. Celebrations were outside, on the lawn beside the Bridge of Sighs where there’s a sign that says ‘Keep off the Grass’. Celebrations over, everyone made their way to Sidney Sussex college for wedding breakfast, speeches outdoors (I love outdoor speeches!) and later, dancing in the marquee. Crazy dancing. Crazy painted faces!
Congratulations, Sam & Jen on a beautiful wedding day. I hope you enjoy these:
