Norfolk wedding photography | Alice & Henry
Since Norfolk’s my home, I love Norfolk wedding photography! Being able to leave home in the morning and return the same day doesn’t always happen. Norfolk is a beautiful county, and I’m so grateful to all my Norfolk brides and grooms from years gone by who continue to recommend me to their friends and family.
Congratulations to Alice & Henry on their Norfolk wedding! I’ve been looking forward to this wedding so much! Miraculously avoiding the tropical storms that were falling in some areas of our usually sunny county here in Norfolk, Alice and Henry’s wedding was at Woodton Church, not far from Bungay and not far from me here near Wymondham in Norfolk.
Alice’s Bridal Preparations
I joined Alice and her girls getting ready at her family’s home. It’s a beautiful house, and the grounds with their topiary and the most gorgeous beech hedging left me with no challenges for gorgeous backdrops for their wedding photography.
Alice’s tiara is a family heirloom, handed down from generation to generation. It looked quite a weight, but Alice made it through the entire day and evening under there, and it looks beautiful.
Woodton church near Bungay is a pretty setting for a Norfolk wedding. Set away from the road down a track good enough for Kit’s vintage wedding car, it feels remote.
The morning heat was stifling. We felt a storm brewing, but somehow the rains stayed away until the ceremony and reception drinks were over, and everyone was making their way to the marquee for speeches and wedding breakfast.
Marquee Wedding Celebrations
The marquee was beautiful. I love these long wedding breakfast tables. I’m not sure why, but it makes me think of French weddings, there’s something rather elegant about the look it gives the marquee.
Hilarious speeches before the wedding breakfast were followed swiftly by enthusiastic dancing. I’ve been witness to some fantastic wedding dancing this year again! Dancing is one of my favourite things, so it’s great to have a little jig among the crowd as I’m shooting unnoticed. Sometimes!
Here’s a few shots from the wedding day – lots more to come!
Big thanks thanks to you, Alice & Henry and all the guests for making the day so great for me to photograph. So many familiar faces from previous weddings. Thank you! Enjoy:
