Christening Photography in Norfolk | Baby Max
I was excited to be documenting Max’s Christening photography in Norfolk recently.
Baby Max and his brother were being dressed for the Christening celebrations as I arrived. So we had a little time to document their preparations before we headed off to Horning church for Max’s ceremony.
The vicar at Horning church made an impression on Max’s big brother, he was listening intently as David spoke, it was lovely to see! And David was great with both boys. Max barely flinched when the water was poured over his head.
The boys were great. Max was so calm. He seems happy to be photographed, happy to be alive. I love how babies are so in the moment. No pressing thoughts engaging their attention, just moment by moment awareness. Between sleeps. Bliss!
Max’s brother Thomas was cheeky with me. He likes a game, he likes to tease and he loves cake! I enjoyed watching the boys and their cousins interact. They all get along so well, and the girls were like tiny mothers to Max, playing with him and kissing and stroking him. Max loved it.
The family and guests had a tentipi to enjoy their celebratory dinner in, with catering by Brasted’s in Norfolk. It was funny to see them again – we were at the same wedding just the day before. Norfolk is small though, right?
This was such a gorgeous day! We were fortunate that the sun pushed away the early rain, so everyone could enjoy the beautiful garden. Mind you, it was windy!
Congratulations on your Christening photography in Norfolk, Max! I know you’ve been waiting for these with your mum! Enjoy – many more to come before the weekend is out:
