Holkham wedding photos | Norfolk wedding photographer
I’ve taken a few Holkham wedding photos in the past. So I was delighted when I received an email from Chelsea bridal wear designer Emma of Emma Victoria Payne Bridal asking me if I’d be up for a bridal photo shoot with her there.
Emma made the dress for gorgeous bride Alice, whose Sennowe park wedding I photographed recently. Alice’s dress was beautiful! So I agreed a date with Emma and we met at Holkham Hall one Saturday towards the end of summer.
Holkham Hall is a beautiful venue for a wedding, so we were very happy to use it as a backdrop for our bridal photoshoot. Emma brought a selection of her wedding gowns and a gorgeous wedding jumpsuit. We made the most of the blue skies above Holkham’s gardens, and the wonderful art and architecture within the hall. We were spoiled for choice.

Emma’s gowns are outstanding. The quality of her fabrics, diversity of design and the level of craftmanship is so high! I love textiles, I’ve made a few clothes for myself in the past and very nearly took a textile degree back in the day so believe me when I say quality! I’m so pleased that Emma was able to see Alice’s photographs which prompted her to make contact with me. So grateful to Norfolk model Meredith, Rachel at Wells next the Sea Life and all the staff at Holkham Weddings for your kind assistance on the day, too.
When I arrived at Holkham I joined the girls in make-up and familiarised myself with the surroundings. The weddings I’ve photographed at Holkham in the past have all been at the temple, so having a sneak inside the main hall was a real treat. We made the most of the rooms we’d been offered so generously, and I was in my element. Meredith was a fantastic model to work with.
It’s not often I take part in bridal shoots. My work is mainly in the moment, documentary, fly on the wall. Observer, not director. My last such shoot was over a year ago at Pensthorpe in Norfolk for publicity of their new wedding venue. Thankfully Meredith is a professional model. She made light work of it. As did the beauty of Emma’s wedding attire! Everyone was so lovely. We made a great team! Delighted to have had this opportunity to work with such wonderful people. Thank you!
