Langley Abbey Wedding | Hugh & Jen
Hugh & Jen’s Langley Abbey wedding last Saturday was so much fun! They were escorted into the ceremony by their dog Katie, who was such a sweet little thing and so well behaved. Gorgeous though she is, she didn’t take the attention away from her mum. I didn’t even see her scrounging for Brasted’s delicious canapes either, unusual for a labrador.
We had some good weather, so before the wedding ceremony I met with Hugh and Jen for a few shots in the abbey ruins.
The celebrations after the ceremony included a fab speech by Hugh and lots of hugs for the happy couple. And Katie. I haven’t photographed a Langley Abbey wedding for a while, so I hadn’t remembered the red ceilings in the reception room. Lighting the space was quite tricky, but then again winter weddings take some experience in lighting so my trusty canon speed lights were close at hand most of the day. Thank goodness for those!
Hugh and Jen’s party made for a busy dance floor (great first dance you two!) and busy casino tables back in the main hall – my kind of party! Even the little girls had a go on the tables and it looked to me like they were doing pretty well! Go girls!
Langley Abbey is such a pretty wedding venue, with first class service as always from the famous Brasted’s providing food and hospitality. It was great to see Zara and her staff again. Thank you for looking after me as always!
The rest of your Langley Abbey wedding will be ready soon, Jen & Hugh – let me know when you’re back from your honeymoon. Hope you’re having an amazing time. Thanks again for having me document your day for you.
If you’re planning a Langley Abbey wedding and you’re looking for your photographer, congratulations! I’d love to hear from you!
