Norfolk wedding & celebrations
Georgie & Nans’ Norfolk wedding was held at the beautiful Swanton Morley church. I’ve not photographed in this church before, and unlike most Norfolk churches, this one has beautiful light!
A few weeks back, Georgie & Nans met me at the church to have a look around before we headed to the river for their engagement shoot. Just like that day, the sun shone its magic on them. The gardens at Hunter’s Hall were in full bloom, so we were able to make the most of it. The reception was held on the lawns with games, canapes and capers. The MC loved his role!
The speeches were fantastic. Nans is French Suisse, and Georgie English so both languages were played with. I think I got away with a short conversation in church in my schoolgirl French when I introduced myself to Nans’ maman!
The day was full of laughs, sunshine, good friends, great food and fun. I’ve been looking forward to Georgie & Nans’ wedding since we met many months ago. The feelings between them are tangible and infectious.
I’ve not photographed a wedding at Hunters’ Hall for many years – I can’t even count them, it’s been so long! The place has changed since I was last there, with a new marquee lining in the barn and the gardens now beautifully matured. Even a new drive for Georgie & Nans’ vintage Rolls Royce to bring them in in style.
Thank you both so much for choosing me to cover your day. I hope you feel these pictures have done you justice! It really was a gorgeous wedding. Lots more photographs to come yet, but enjoy these while you’re on honeymoon. Look forward to hearing from you when you return. Enjoy each other!
