Rosanna & Orlando’s Suffolk wedding was held at St Mary’s church in Dennington. The celebrations were in a buttercup-filled meadow near the family home. Before I drove to the wedding, the skies had been heavy with rain and the air whipping up a storm. As I drove into Suffolk, it didn’t get much better. By the time I arrived at the marquee where the caterers were setting up, the marquee was billowing more than a little.
I arrived at the marquee early to photograph the flowers that Rosanna’s mother, being a florist, had worked so hard on with her team. They were absolutely beautiful. So I’m just going to say, if you’re looking for a Suffolk florist, Moat Farm Flowers are a very safe bet!
I met with the boys at the ancient St Mary’s church just before the wedding guests began to arrive. Strangely, as I arrived at church the winds died down. There was more light in the sky. And by 3pm, the rain was giving way to sunlight. Their timing was impeccable. Had this been a morning wedding, this story would have been quite a different one.
Orlando also has creative relatives – his brothers singing and playing the organ, and his uncle in the pulpit giving a reading too. Such a personal service, it was a pleasure to document.
I managed to get some footage on my phone of the tractor trailer journey on their journey back to the marquee, but I’m not going to show that here. I sped it up for comedy value, it was quite a bumpy ride!
So back at the Suffolk meadow, the sun shone down on everyone as they gathered outside the marquee, and in Frances’ gardens. This really is a beautiful part of our country. And it turned out to be a beautiful day! Congratulations, you two. I hope you’re having a great honeymoon together. And I hope you enjoy these – the rest are almost ready. Let me know when you’re home:
